Singer/songwriter BeRn has been testing this declaration, she once made, on audiences
for a decade now and, in the process, established herself as one of the spunkiest,
arresting artists in California's underground music scene.
BeRn is now living and gigging in Cork city, Ireland and is making the same impression
there.
The lilt in her voice and the choice of traditional instrumentation reflect her
Irish history, but her lyrics and presentation are undeniably those of an independent
woman making her way in today's chaotic world. Charged topics such as world hunger
mix with intensely personal odes of love and loss. Humour and compassion add their
own brand of esoteric texture along with the fiddle and djembe. BeRn inherently
weaves all these aspects into her memorable songs.
BeRn captured the magic of her compositions in the studio and independently released
her début CD, "She Is Me"
